BACK STORY: All-Star Sports Collectibles has been in Escondido, CA for over 20 years, and we had been venturing into this store for the last several years. We nicknamed it the “honey hole” because you never knew what kind of treasure you would find there. It was stacked floor to ceiling with sports cards and memorabilia. We would talk about how great it would be to spend a day in there just digging around to see what was under all the piles of stuff. It was that desire to go on the ultimate treasure hunt that pushed us to purchase the shop. The shop became a big pack of baseball cards that us two kids could not wait to open.
